Frank retired from Dayco after 35 years of service as a Lab Technician. He was heavily active in his church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and Boy Scout Troop 686. Mr. Franklyn DeLoach, Sr., 90, of Nixville, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday morning, December 16, 2022, at his residence after an extended illness.
Gordon Lee Rhoden Sr., CFSP
Born November 11, 1932, in Furman, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Eugene DeLoach and Mary Long DeLoach of Furman, South Carolina. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked at Westinghouse in Hampton, South Carolina, where he retired after 39... Born March 22, 1938 in Colleton County, he was a son of the late Ervin Richard Ryan and Pearl O’Bryan Ryan. He worked for many years for DeVant Manufacturing in Allendale and eventually retired from Smoaks Manufacturing. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Ruffin where he served as a Trustee.

Rufus Gibson is a native of Hampton County, and has been employed with Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home for seven years. He began his service with this facility after retiring from Westinghouse with over thirty years of service. A resident of Varnville, Rufus has been a member of the Varnville Fire Department for thirty-five years, and currently serves as chief of the department. He is an active member of Rice Patch Christian Church in Islandton. Rufus is married to Frances Sineath Gibson, and they have two children, Teresa and Edwin, as well as three grandsons. There was a piano in the house, and at a very early age she started to play.

Born June 12, 1941,in Walterboro, he was a son of the late Alvin Floyd Wright and Eleanor Linder Wright. He served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force. Jack was an early member and beginner volunteer at Colleton Rural Fire Department and a retired Captain from the Parris Island Fire Department. "Billy" White, and moved to Walterboro, where she has lived for the last forty-five years. After spending nine years as the secretary and bookkeeper for the E.W. Black Oil Company, she became the administrative assistant for this funeral home in 1971.
He was raised in the Doctor's Creek community, attended public schools in Walterboro, and graduated from Walterboro High School in 1966. Like his father, Gordon entered the United States Marine Corps, and graduated from basic training at Paris Island. As his involvement in funeral service grew, he transferred to the Marine Reserve. Gordon served his apprenticeship at Dunbar Funeral Home in Columbia, SC, and attended the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, graduating in 1970. Thirty-three years later, he and his wife Brenda, are the sole owners of the business.

David Lewis Swartz, Jr., 83, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday morning, December 17, 2022, at the Veterans Victory House. Jacqueline Alice Balsor Hudson, 91, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2022 under the care of Magnolia’s of Walterboro and Amedysis Hospice. She was born January 3, 1931, in Arlington, Massachusetts to Doris Campbell Balsor and Otto John Balsor.
